The first day of the tournament kicked off with a thrilling match between Mighty Fortress FC and Abelenkpe Dortmund, which ended in a goalless draw. The match was decided by a penalty shootout, with Mighty Fortress clinching a 6-5 victory. The second match saw Achimota Olympiakos FC and Changing Lives FC battling to a 1-1 draw, with Changing Lives FC emerging victorious in the penalty shootout with a 4-3 win. Ngorli Football Academy advanced in the third match by a walkover against Mighty Warriors, while Desert Warriors secured a place in the semi-finals with a 1-0 win over OPAK Football Club.
The excitement continued on Sunday with the ladies’ tournament. The opening match featured African Golden Eagles and Teshie Constant Ladies FC, with Teshie Constant securing a 3-2 victory in an end-to-end game. The second match saw Epiphany Warriors and Halifax Queens ending in a stalemate, with Halifax Queens advancing with a 4-2 penalty win.
The male tournament semi-finals commenced with Mighty Fortress and Changing Lives. The match ended in a 1-1 draw, but Mighty Fortress advanced to the finals with a 4-3 penalty shootout victory. Desert Warriors dominated Ngorli Academy in the last semi-final match, securing a convincing 3-0 victory.
